French Toast



Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk or heavy whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Stale french bread (see French Bread recipe, or use whatever you have on hand)

Instructions:

  1. Beat all the ingredients together with a fork or whisk
  2. Heat your pan to medium high and melt 2-4 tablespoons of butter
  3. Dunk each slice of bread in batter, making sure you soak through and throw it on the pan
  4. Cook until golden, approximately 3-5 minutes on each side
